Why USB devices are still the #1 source of malware in Industrial Control Systems, presented by Honeywell

This September in London and October in Sacramento, we learn from Honeywell why USB devices are still the #1 source of malware in ICS. This discussion will help you understand how USB devices can pose a threat even without malware, including:
o Surprisingly effective HID attacks
o More advanced threats posed by rogue network devices, serial adapters and more
Participants in London and Sacramento will see real examples of the impact these attacks can pose to ICS, plus Eric Knapp, Global Director of Cyber Security Solutions and Chief Cyber Security Engineer for Honeywell Process Solutions asks “Are these really advanced? Do you even have to worry about this?”

This year all critical national infrastructure are invited to join both shows free as an initiative to further cyber resilience in both public and private domains!

Implementing BIM for Rail

The government has mandated that publicly procured projects must adopt the BIM Level 2 by 2016.

Understandably this mandate has created a sense of urgency among industry leaders in vertical sectors that are not as experienced in BIM as the construction sector, or verticals that may have far more challenging ageing infrastructure complexities.

On June 23rd in London, Sagacity Media will hold it’s 2nd Annual Asset information and Data management for Smart Rail conference in London Docklands at the Crowne Plaza.

With a stellar line up of leading Rail operators and Infrastructure owners, we will hear how the rail transport industry are utilising key information technologies, developing information as an asset and effectively turning data into actionable intelligence.

Several key speakers will be addressing BIM for Rail in further depth, their current utilisation, challenges, solutions and answering questions in relation to the experiences.
Questions such as: How are rail operators using BIM currently and how will they successfully uplift to BIM Level 2 by 2016?
How do we ensure continuity of asset information record keeping? Can we eliminate the need to model existing assets?
What culture changes are required to fully facilitate the BIM model for Rail?
How are we best implementing shared data resources and working with strategic partners?
Do we have the disciplines necessary for collaboration? How is the data being stored and who is paying for it?

The convergence of technology and infrastructure provides exponential benefits for the Rail sector

The convergence of technology and infrastructure has the ability to transform our communities and economy, reduce emissions as well provide an opportunity for business leaders to optimise asset performance and reduce cost.

Asset information and data management will allow more precise decisions to be made to balance cost, risk and performance, supporting operational effectiveness and efficiency.

Senior Smart Rail leaders will convene in London on June 23rd 2015 to address how the European rail sector are developing and implementing asset information strategies, managing data across multiple disparate systems and leveraging new technologies to succeed.

Authoritative insight will be provided by Key Note speakers from London Underground, presenting “A data driven future for the digital railway,” where they will elaborate further on the growing opportunity to integrate digitally, BIM Execution, developments and the launching of BIM Level 1, uplifting to Level 2- Building Information Modelling Mandate, digital collaboration within the supply chain, generating value through digital integration, and who the key stakeholders in that integration are and the role of technology adoption.

Further additions to the program include SBB Infrastructure, Crossrail, Network Rail, Prorail, Strukton Rail, Metro Madrid and Arkessa.
